‘Of Counsel’
Jim Blackman has been practicing law since 1970 when he was admitted to practice law in the States of California and Louisiana. After graduating from the University of California Hastings College of the Law, Mr. Blackman joined the Volunteers in Service to America (VISTA) program and was assigned to the New Orleans Legal Assistance Corporation (NOLAC) where he did community organizing for a year. After he passed the Louisiana Bar, he became an attorney with NOLAC. During his tenure at NOLAC, Mr. Blackman held various positions including Managing Attorney of a satellite office and Supervising Attorney. Upon relocating to California after 13 years in New Orleans, Mr. Blackman served as Legal Counsel to the Economic Opportunity Council of San Francisco and started his own private practice.
He has been with the Mediation & Law Offices of Vivian Holley for over 15 years and currently serves as ‘Of Counsel’ status.
